Why your Vinted listings are not selling (and what to change)

A listing without a sale is not a dead end. Views, favourites and time live already point somewhere. The key is reading the right signal before cutting the price.

A listing that does not sell often sends a precise signal.

Read the signals

Not every listing sells at the same pace. But three signals often tell you where to look: nobody clicks, people click without favouriting, or people favourite without buying.

Watch these signals over several days, not one hour. A listing published on Sunday evening may take a few days to find its audience.

  • Few views: title, category or cover need work.
  • Views but few favourites: the photo or price is not convincing.
  • Favourites but no sale: price or delivery terms are blocking.
  • Views dropping: the listing is buried, a relist may help.

The five most common causes

Before changing ten things, check the five most common. In most cases, one of them explains the bulk of it.

  • A dark, blurry or cropped cover.
  • A title without product type, colour or size.
  • A price above the market, with no visible reason.
  • A category that is too broad or a wrong size.
  • Measurements or flaws missing from the description.

What to change first

Start with the cover, then the title. Those two decide the click. Then check the price against similar listings, and the category and size.

If the listing is more than seven to fourteen days old, a relist with a new cover and rewritten text can do more than a price cut. Do not repost every two days: without a real change, the result will be the same.

Myths to leave behind

There is no magic button to force a sale. Reposting ten times a day, cutting the price to zero or copying a viral title does not fix a photo, size or demand problem.

A clear, well-categorised, correctly priced listing sells better than one relaunched without change. Relisting is a tool, not a strategy on its own.

What Vintops does for a listing that is not moving

Vintops keeps the product record, photos, price and history in one place. When a listing does not sell, you can start from the record, rewrite the text and prepare a new cover without losing the product.

Products live for seven days or more are flagged for a relist. You decide the price and the publication.

Checklist before deciding a listing does not work

A quick check before changing everything.

  • The cover shows the full garment, sharp and bright.
  • The title contains type, colour and size.
  • The price is comparable to similar listings.
  • The category and size are correct.
  • Measurements and flaws are visible.
  • The listing had time to find its audience.
